Andrew is the founder of IEMA Pty Ltd and has a wealth of experience across the mining, extractive, industrial and agricultural sectors. He has built his career across operational site-based roles, senior consulting leadership, and executive management. Andrew is recognised for delivering practical, defensible and regulator-ready advice that helps clients manage risk, improve environmental performance and navigate complex regulatory and operational challenges.
He combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial, governance, and leadership experience. He is a Certified Environmental Auditor and has held a number of statutory and board appointments, including as a Commissioner of the NSW Independent Planning Commission, a Member and Alternate of the NSW State Regional Planning Panels, Chair and Non-Executive Director of Dantia, and Non-Executive Director of CELL.
Andrew is particularly recognised for his leadership in mine closure, closure strategy, transition planning and beneficial reuse, and has a strong interest in regional development, circular economy, sustainable land use, carbon accounting, and ESG. He is also passionate about building strong teams, mentoring people, and creating practical pathways that deliver long-term value to clients, communities, and the regions in which they operate.
Outside of work, Andrew’s interests include rugby union, beekeeping, and adventure bike riding.
