Chris is a fellow of AusIMM and technical leader in IEMA’s specialist mine closure planning team. He brings extensive experience across industry, consulting and government, advising clients on strategic mine closure planning, mined land transition and pathways to successful lease relinquishment.
Chris has led multi-disciplinary closure studies to feasibility stage and managed closure projects through to successful tenement relinquishment in NSW. His advisory expertise includes due diligence for former mined land acquisitions, post-mining land use transition strategy, regulatory engagement, and stakeholder management.
Chris has held compliance, enforcement and policy roles with the NSW government, contributing to the development of contemporary mining lease conditions, rehabilitation planning guidelines and regulatory strategy. Chris continues to actively contribute to industry policy advocacy through NSW and Queensland industry bodies.
When not on the tools, expect to see Chris passionately supporting England at the rugby or cricket or hitting the gravel on his Triumph.
