Jake has experience across operational mining environments and consulting services. He has developed a strong practical understanding of regulatory, environmental and stakeholder challenges faced by clients, particularly through his work across Glencore Coal Australia operations.
His experience spans environmental management systems, compliance assurance, monitoring and reporting, stakeholder engagement, and business improvement initiatives. Jake has supported and led projects involving EMS restructuring, compliance reviews, audit preparation, digital inspections, biodiversity improvement programs and offset scheduling.
Jake is recognised for his practical, solutions-focused approach and his ability to develop systems and processes that support operational needs while improving environmental performance. He brings strong capability in project coordination, assurance program development, data analysis, GIS and digital tools, and communicating technical information clearly to operational teams, regulators and community stakeholders.
He has also played an active role in community and culture-building initiatives, including local community committees, site family days and charity events, as well as training and mentoring new staff through tailored approaches that support different learning styles.
Jake holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the Queensland University of Technology and a Diploma of Project Management. He has also completed training in Incident Command and Control Systems, Blue Book Erosion and Sediment Control, and Lead Auditing.
Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time outdoors, including hiking and snowboarding. He also enjoys cooking, traveling.
